The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Day was celebrated at KONGU ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, Karur on 22.11.2024. The programme was presided over by Atlas M. Nachimuthu, Chairman, KONGU EDUCATIONAL TRUST. The programme commenced with the welcome address by Prof. Dhanalakshmi. The Principal, Dr. S. Vanithamani, delivered the felicitation address. The Chief Guest, Mr. Meenakshi K. Ramesh, Secretary, KONGU EDUCATIONAL TRUST, delivered a special address on the topic "Independence is a pleasure". He took the students through the corridors of Indian history, highlighting the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the significance of independence. The programme was attended by the heads of all departments. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Vignesh Ram, NCC Caretaker.
World Rivers Day (24.9.24) to emphasize the concept of Clean Bharat to the villagers, the students of the National Cadet Corps of Pudupalayam Kaveri River did a social service for cleaning, road maintenance and sanitation awareness.
Under the "One Crore Palm Planting Project" on 21.9.24 , the National Cadet Corps (NCC) students of Kongu Arts and Science College participated in planting palm trees in Chinnak Kalipalayam and Pudupalayam areas of Karur District Manmangalam Taluk.
